Haven't written in forever and won't have much time to write now since the older two just got in an argument and woke up the youngest one.  Just checking in to say that life is wonderful.  The past few weeks have been  especially blissful.  Of course there are moments where I want to rip my hair out, but for the most part I would say that this is the best my adult life has been (I am pretty sure I remember thinking the same thing though after Beata turned one).  I have 3 beautiful, hilarious kids who have all been sleeping through the night in recent weeks, a husband who I feel overwhelmingly in love with everyday, and an addiction to surfing that keeps me feeling refreshed and alive. Lately I have been waking up around 6:30, going for a jog on the beach and/or surfing with my friend Lisa, taking the kids to swim lessons, letting them play at the park or running errands, fixing lunch for and eating with the whole fam (Andrew comes home everyday), putting Augie down for a nap, cleaning and exercising, making dinner, eating dinner when Andrew gets home, and our evenings are usually wrapped up either at the beach with Andrew and I taking turns surfing if there are waves, on a bike ride (Elek and B can go a couple of miles on their own without tiring and Augie rides on the back of my bike), or in the pool.  The kids usually go down anywhere between 8:15 and 9:30.  They are long days but they are days packed with goodness.

The kitchen remodel is set to begin on July 1st and the plan is for me to take the kids to my parents for the 4 to 5 weeks that it takes for them to finish.  I keep telling Andrew that I think I am going to miss the waves more than I am going to miss him!  There is nothing like that feeling of catching a wave and I truly am addicted to it, obsessed with getting my next fix of that adrenaline rush.  Luckily Andrew can relate and is very supportive of my efforts to improve (which there is a TON of room for) so he will watch the kids while I go out in the mornings.  Actually, he usually sleeps through Augie crying and I will often come home to Beata and Elek entertaining Augie in his crib.  But hey, it works!

Augie has taken a few steps on his own but is too lazy to move to full on walking.  He'd rather dart around on his knees or scoot swifly along on his butt.  He'll say "moo" for "moon" and I am sure there are others that I can't recall right now as I am racing to type this update.  Overall he is very communicative and loves interacting with his big brother and sister.  He hardly ever plays with the few baby toys that we have for him and loves wielding swords and sticks.  He is happiest when he is outside whether it is playing in the sand at the beach, in the mud in the back yard, in our weeds in the front yard, or on the back of my bike, the kid never cries when he is breathing in fresh air.  He also loves the water and will hightail it for the water as soon as we put him down at the beach and will play on his own (with supervision of course) on the steps of the pool.  We can dunk him in the pool and he can be knocked over by a big wave at the beach and he doesn't bat an eye.

Beata and Elek have, for the most part, been getting a long very well this summer.  Their imaginative play is really taking off and they can usually be found casting spells or participating in a game of quidditch as they run around calling one another "Harry" and "Hermione."  They have both gotten much better at chess as Andrew's lessons have gotten a little more frequent.  They love it when he gives them puzzles and rewards correct answers with small treats but they'll play without the promise of treats too:)  They both know upwards of 80 sight words and I will frequently whip the stack out and have them race to see who can read the most.  They are usually just about tied which I think speaks to how well B is able to keep up with her brother.  For the most part they are very good with Augie though there are definitely times where I will spy on them and find that they are bonking him over the head with a stuffed animal or knocking him over on a mattress.  But kind and protective for the most part.  They really are best friends and it is so fun to see them together.

As I type this, B is screaming that Elek has offended or hurt her in some way while they have been outside playing sooo....time to go referee....
