The moment I've been dreaming of since Elek started preschool happened today!!  I greeted him at his class to pick him up afer school and he and another boy, Nash, ran out of the room begging me for a play date! They pushed me toward Nash's mom insisting that I discuss it with her and it was quickly decided that Elek would go home with them.  She took them out for Slurpees and Elek had a blast playing Beyblades with his new buddy (I say "new" but it's a small town so they live one street over and Elek and Nash have met several times in their childhood at the beach, park, etc and just don't remember).  Anyways, Elek is almost always content doing his own things and leaving friendships at school so I was thrilled to see that he had an interest in extending his fun with a classmate beyond school hours.

I swear Beata's personality even got sweeter and cuter with the loss of that second front tooth.  I could have eaten her up all day she was so loving, helpful, and thoughtful.  And her speech is just adorable.  I'll have to remember to video her tomorrow.  We are hoping that Andrew will be able to go with her to visit Grandma and Grammy this weekend, but it will depend on Andrew being completely over his cold so he doesn't expose gma to any germs.  Beata deserves a special trip with her daddy.  I know it can be frustrating for her being the only girl smooshed between two boys.  Would be great for her to be heard above everyone else, even if it's just for a couple days!

I heard Auggie say "Obey God's rules" today when I was drying him off after a shower.  Often that's how I'll find out about what he did that day at school.  He'll just randomly say something or sing a song I didn't teach him under his breath and I'll have to ask for more details.  In this case, when asked what "God's rules" were he said "no hitting."

A quick story so I don't forget it like I have the millions of other cute ones that have occurred in the last year plus.

Auggie goes to East Minster Preschool for VPK.  His teacher is Mrs. Teems and among the many other wonderful things she has already taught him this year she has also taught him quite a bit about God, Jesus, and the Bible.

Last night he said this prayer before bed:

"Hands together
Hands apart
Hands together over your heart
I want to talk to God now.
I love you Jesus.
Give us our daily bread.
And no boo boos.  No boo boos"

Freaking adorable.

Andrew pulled out Beata's 2nd top center tooth tonight so she has a very gummy smile now.  Elek continues to be a sweet little stinker.  More later.
