Tonight after Andrew finished brushing Elek's teeth in the play room bathroom Elek said, "look dad, I can jump light a knight," and proceeded to jump from one mat to another that was two forward and one over from it, just as a knight would move in chess.  To be sure he really had this down Andrew had him make his way through the kitchen to the dining room on the tiles in the same way and sure enough the kid did it!  Andrew said that he did the same thing when he was a kid and will still do it sometimes today.  Like father like son :)

Had a great, relaxing weekend.  Went to Elek's soccer game Friday evening.  Grace met us there.  Elek didn't score but he did a great job staying focused and trying his hardest which we were, of course, very proud of :)  After the game we went to Sandbar Grill for dinner with the Hershmans and Watsons.  Then Grace met us and the Hershmans at a new frozen yogurt place that just opened on 5th Ave called Plum Crazy.

On Saturday Christena, Chris, Rowan, and Aiden came over and we hung out all afternoon and then finished the day out with pizza at Ryckman park.  It was great to see them again and we are really hoping that they will be able to move to the neighborhood so that we can have more relaxed days like that one!

Today Andrew pretty much gave me the day off.  While Augie slept and the kids played outside as Andrew was working on hooking up the new plumbing system, I had lunch with Grace at Panera and ran some errands.  When Augie woke up I swung by the house to pick him up and then headed to Once Upon A Child to consign some toys and then to the mall.  When I got home we all headed to the beach and I watched the kids while Andrew surfed for a bit.  Grace came over for a little while when we got back and we all ate dinner.  Then Grace and I skyped with our dad while Andrew played yet another new board game with the kids.

Another really nice weekend :)

Oh and tomorrow Andrew and I will be checking out a couple of new preschools for the kids.  Space Coast Early Intervention and Wellington.  Hoping that if we like them enough we will be able to will ourselves out of bed an hour earlier than we normally do to make the longer drive to them every day once VPK starts.
