B had her first day of VPK today.  At pick up her teacher, Mrs. Hogan (Elek's teacher last year) told me that she was reading a story to the class and substituted the word "playground" for "recess" since she wasn't sure if all of the kids would know what "recess" meant.  She said that Beata stopped her and said, "that doesn't say 'playground' it says 'recess'." Her teacher said she guesses she won't be able to substitute any more words this year :)

Tomorrow is Auggie's first day in Mrs. Laurie's two-year old class and Elek has a pre-test for kindergarten.  His first day of school is Thursday.  I will try to remember to write about each of their first-day experiences later in the week!
